Tsogo Sun’s Gold Reef City hosted Shrek the Musical, an adaptation of the original Dreamworks hit movie live on stage, and they required an integrated campaign. The main objective was to create hype and increase ticket sales for the show.
Through frequent posts on social media platforms that highlighted the show, the characters, and the location, we created interest and a want to see the show via a series of topical posts, promoted image and video posts, as well as social media competitions that offered free tickets.
After spending time on concept development, campaign strategy and content development, we compiled an extensive schedule of engaging posts and competitions for three separate accounts (Gold Reef City, Montecasino and Tsogo Sun) on two different social media platforms (Facebook and Twitter). This is how we generated hype and increased ticket sales for the show.
